However, the witch was prepared for this. She uses a freshly picked bunch of poppy flowers and gently brushes them in front of Dorothy which helps her relax her feet. The witch was then able to remove the slippers, but that’s not the end of it. You see, in addition to the ruby slippers, the witch has other plans for Dorothy’s big soft size 9 feet too.
