Willow’s toes are poking out the tops, her creamy white arches are visible through the centers and she has no idea what she’s in for now that she’s put on the Tickle Shoes and is waiting to see what happens! Except she’s going to be writhing around and shrieking in a minute–we start with feathers and she’s got an ear-to-ear grin on her face, but it goes south fast after that! All it takes is the electric flossers under her toes or the backscratcher on her arches and she’s going crazy! It works every time: a ‘lee thinks that because they have ‘shoes’ on, their feet are protected, and it gives them a false sense of security. But after that, their illusions are shattered, and it’s delightful to watch!

Renee has some of the prettiest feet in the clips store (which is why she’s been the model for our store banner for a few years now). I told her I had a special pair of sandals for her to wear, and once she had them on and her feet were in the stocks, she said she felt like her feet were more protected (just because she had ‘shoes’ on). The funny thing is, nothing could be further from the truth! The mental feeling that her feet were ‘safer’ meant that when I started raking the backscratcher claws up and down the bottoms of her feet, she began squealing with laughter–surprise! Plus when her toes begin poking out of the tops of the sandals, they make for even more fun! It’s a cute little psychological game, and one she’s going to lose, since her feet are now even more immobile than before!
